Membership Categories

Equity Membership - full shareholders of the Edmonton Petroleum Golf & Country Club. This category provides full access to the Clubhouse, practice facilities and unlimited access to the course. Equity members can add family members to their share. 

Corporate/Executive Membership - a Corporation who has purchased a full equity share of the Edmonton Petroleum Golf & Country Club. The corporation shall name one designate player who has full, unrestricted access.  The Corporation can also name up to three (3) additional players (associates) on the share.  These associates can have full or restricted access, depending on the type of membership purchased 

Associate - An individual may play on a regular members share in any year if that member is unable to play due to illness or temporary residence sufficiently distant from the Club to make playing impossible. A full associate has unrestricted access to the Clubhouse, practice facilities and course. An associate may play for three (3) years. The Associate must be approved by the Board of Directors.  Associates can add family members to their share. 

Non-Equity Associate Group- a group may purchase a non-equity associate membership. Access to the Clubhouse and practice facilities is unrestricted, but restricted course access. The players must be approved by the Board of Directors. Each individual player is eligible to play for three (3) seasons. Can not add family members to their share.

Spouse/Secondary Player - The spouse/secondary player of a regular member, corporate/executive designate or associate may gain golfing privileges by paying the current green fees.  If the player does not have a golfing significant other, a secondary player (family member) may be appointed for the category. Only one Evening Spouse/Secondary or Regular Spouse/Secondary per share.  

Evening Spousal/Secondary - A significant other or family member of a shareholder may gain golfing privileges by paying the current green fee. This category is restricted to tee times after 4:00pm 7 days per week. Only one Evening Spouse/Secondary or Regular Spouse/Secondary per share.  

Pre-Junior (6-11 Years Old) - Players of 11 years of age and under must be accompanied by an adult at all times while using club facilities. Those age 10 and under, as approved by the Board of Directors, are able to golf for free after 6:00pm if accompanied by an adult at all times. 

Junior A (12-15 Years Old) - A son/daughter of a shareholder, corporate/executive designate or associate who does not celebrate their 16th birthday before November 30th of that year, may gain golfing privileges by paying the current junior green fees. These privileges include playing in any junior club events; however, do not include playing in Mens or Ladies events. If a junior wants to play during prime-time (Fridays 11am-5pm or weekends/holidays before 2pm), they must be accompanied by a parent. 

Junior B (16-18 Years Old) - A son/daughter of a shareholder, corporate/executive designate or associate who does not celebrate their 19th birthday before November 30th of that year, may gain golfing privileges by paying the current junior green fees. These privileges include playing in any junior club events; however, do not include playing in Mens or Ladies events. If a junior wants to play during prime-time (Fridays 11am-5pm or weekends/holidays before 2pm), they must be accompanied by a parent. 

Intermediate A (19-24 Years Old) - A son/daughter of a shareholder, corporate/executive designate or associate and a full time student. Age as of August 30th of the golfing year applies. 

Intermediate B (19-28 Years Old) - A son/daughter of a shareholder, corporate/executive designate or associate. Age as of August 30th of the golfing year applies. This category is also responsible for their own Food & Beverage minimum. 

Intermediate D (29-35 years Old)  - A son/daughter of a shareholder may gain golfing privileges by paying the current intermediate green fees.  These golfers have no restriction on tee time access.  Responsible for the $900 F&B minimum.

Sponsored Junior A (12-15 Years Old) -  An individual between the age of 12 and 15 as of August 30th may be granted golf privileges by being sponsored by a shareholder, and by paying the current sponsored green fees. Each shareholder can sponsor 3 juniors each season. The total number of sponsored juniors may not exceed 25 each season.  

Sponsored Junior B (16-18 Years Old) - An individual between the age of 16 and 18 as of August 30th may be granted golf privileges by being sponsored by a shareholder, and by paying the current sponsored green fees. Each shareholder can sponsor 3 juniors each season. The total number of sponsored juniors may not exceed 25 each season.  

Sponsored Intermediate C (19-28 Years Old) - An individual between the age of 19 and 28 as of August 30th may be granted golf privileges by being sponsored by a shareholder, and by paying the current sponsored green fees. Each shareholder can sponsor one intermediate player each season. The total number of sponsored intermediate players may not exceed 25 each season.  

Sponsored Intermediate E (29-35 Years Old) - An individual between the ages of 29 and 35 as of August 30th may be granted golfing privileges by being sponsored by an Equity Member and paying the current sponsored Intermediate E fees. Each member can sponsor three sponsored junior and one intermediate each season. These sponsored players have a $900 F&B minimum and no restrictions on tee times. A valid credit card must be provided to put onto the account.

Honorary Member - From time to time, the Board of Directors may offer an honorary membership for a period of one year to an individual. These individuals may include Presidents of other private club with reciprocal rights, senior politicians or others as the Board of Directors sees fit. The honorary membership does not extend to the spouse or juniors of an honorary member. 

Honorary Senior Member - A member who has been a shareholder of the club for at least 10 consecutive years, and is 65 or older may choose to sell their share back to the club for $1.00 and play at a reduced rate on a restricted membership. These individuals must be Board of Directors approved. The number of honorary senior members will rely on Board of Directors approval, and the sale of the treasury shares. Spouses may play on the honorary senior membership so long as they meet the age requirement.
